Can I Move Into A 55 And Older Community If I Am Not 55?

My husbands parents built a house in a 55 and older community,as an investment property, and it was finished about 14 months ago. Due to the recent housing crisis, they have had no offers, and have dropped the price nearly 65,000. They own a business that deals with real estate, and their business is not doing very well. My husband and I are both in our twenties, and we have a daughter. We are currently renting a house, and would like to move into their investment house until it sells. We have no desire to live in the retirement community forvever, but just long enough to help them through this financial difficult time, since we would be paying them rent.
So my question is: Do you think the HOA would permit us to live there, just until the house sells?
They are at about 80% occupancy of 55 and older.

I Am Looking For A Good Mutual Fund To Move Some Of My Retirement Fund Into. Any Ideas?

Without having more information about your personal information, such as age, current income and other data such as risk tolerance, martial status, and demographics it would be very inappropriate for me or any other responsible person to provide specific investment information in this type of media
There are many people just like you that are, or were looking to invest and those that did bought Mutual Funds and/or Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). One purpose of mutual funds is to help investors like you, who are either just entering the investment world or who have no investing experience. Once you feel you at least have an understanding of investments you should look into ETFs which are similar to mutual funds but are traded on the exchanges.
Mutual Fund companies as well as ETFs have an entire array of products many will fit your needs. You can go to the MSN.Money website http://moneycentral.msn.com/home.asp it has an entire section on mutual funds and Exchange Traded Funds. Read about the various products and in doing so you will be getting investment ideas and at the same time educating yourself about investing.
Another mutual fund site you can visit is Morningstar which is a rating service for fund companies http://www.morningstar.com/
You could also contact the funds companies for more information. I have found that Vanguard & Fidelity can meet your needs for mutual funds. The service and information they provide is all free and you will find it helpful.

What Are The “cons” Of Moving Into An “over 55″ Community?

I am a 61 year old widower, recently retired. I am told I need to establish a social network. This is one of the big selling points of the “over 55″ communities. But is it a good enough reason to move?
