I Am A Diabetic ,iam Trying To Get Disabilty From Railroad Retirement Board Any Ideas?

Are you Type 1 or Type 2?
Why do you think you qualify for disability?
e.g. Being a Type 2 non-insulin dependent diabetic isn’t going to qualify for any disability at all. And only the most extreme diabets cases would qualify you for anything, ie. if the condition acutally has disabled you.

Can You Live In A Foreign Country And Still Receive Your Social Security Benefits From The U.s?

Are there some countries that are easier to do this with, than others? Could your Social Security checks be deposited into a foreign bank or would they need to be deposited in a U.S. bank? Is it alright if your home address is a foreign address?
In addition, are any medicare benefits transferable while you are living in another country?

Does Anyone Have Suggestions On Switching From Gravel To Sand?

I bought about 130 lbs of sand (may be too much) of playsand from home depot. I have a 55 gallon fresh water community tank. No live plants. I have an Emperor 400, and was concerned that the sand may mess up the impeller on the filter. I plan on putting some of the old gravel into the filter to prevent a mini cycle.
Any advice?

Is Is Possible To Remove Your Name From Social Security, Losing All Benefits, But Also Not Paying Into It?

I recently heard that I could take my name off the list for Social Security benefits, so I don’t have to pay into the program, and also not receiving any of the retirement benefits etc. I did a little looking around and couldn’t find anything. Is this possible, and how could I go about doing this?

How Can I Stop Someone From Babysitting In A 55+ Community? This Is A Senior Citizen Community.?

I live in a senior community. Chidren aren’t permitted to live here. However, my neighbor babysits her grand children, several hours, everyday. Management says there’s nothing they can do? The children are allowed to play in the streets, as well as other yards. And get very noisy. I shouldn’t be forced to move. Just to get away from them. But, I moved here for, peace and serenity. I’ve reared four of my own. And do love children. I just don’t want to live with them, at this point in my life. Does anyone have any advice? We even have one MINOR CHILD, residing in our community. They say she was “grandfathered-in”. Whatever that means? Someone please help.

Any Ideas On How To Initiate Claiming Retirement Money From Another Country?

A friend of mine was a cop in Puerto Rico many years ago and at some point, he retired and came to the US. He has 10 years of retirement money coming ( back pay) and is eligable for his monthly check. He can’t go to Puerto Rico, ( he has some reasons I’m not aware of) BUT..is there a way that he could initiate the process from the US? Could he hire a lawyer to contact another lawyer in Puerto Rico? Should he get a councilman or representative to help him? Is it necessary for him to go to Puerto Rico himself, or can he do this from the states? If so, do you have any suggestions on how he could get this going?
(There’s quite a chunk of change, sitting in his retirement fund, to not claim!)
Thanks for your suggestions..

How Do You Understand A Social Security Benefits Estimate Letter From Government?

I am 42 years old and just got my yearly benefits estimate from Social Security. They estimate my benefit to be about $2000 a month when I retire… is that factoring in inflation or not, or should I assume that amount is likely to grow 2-3% higher per year over the next 23 years.
Also, if my spouse is also eligible for benefits, do we just add our two estimated benefits together or do they reduce one of them when both spouses are receiving benefits?
