Help.i Was Laid Off In January And Had To Cash In My 401k And Company Sponsored Retirement Plan.no Problem?

with my 401k payment but Vanguard just called me and told me I could not cash out my retirement. They sent me all the froms in January and waited 2 months to tell me they messed up.What can I do?Can legal action be taken?I really need that money. Thxs

My Company Will Soon Offer A Roth 401k Option To Our Retirement Plan.what Advantage Is There To This?

you don’t have to pay taxes on the money you take out of the roth ira. 401k is something different. you don’t have to pay taxes on what you put into that but you do have to pay when you take it out later. they have different rules. one of the big advantages besides taxes is that employers often match part of your contributions.

Are 401k Plans Better Than Traditonal Company Retirement Plans ?

Keep in mind that there’s a lot of people who simply do not earn enough money to contribute any decent amount of money to their employers 401k plans. Having said that, what if a person works 30 years and can’t contribute to an employers 401k plan, how will they live in their retirement years ?
