Ok so I know that there used to be a law that if you were under 18 and you got social security benefits because one of your parents was one it, and you turned 18, but you continued your education and went to college, that you still got your benefits. Does this still continue today? My mom told me it doesn’t, but she also told me that my checks only went up $14 because my Dad died, which I know for a fact isn’t true. And she is a bit of a cheap wad, so I just want to know for sure.

I have worked in USA long enough to earn Social Security retirement benefits. But I plan to move back to Asia to retire. Would I still receive Social Security Benefits when I am at 67 from US government even I am in another country?

Both parents receive social security, my sister was diagnosed educatable mentally handicapp at the age of 7. She know gets $500.00 of my parents social security. She lives alone and has a child, can read and write etc. She went up to the ninth grade. What can my parents do so they do not lose benefits? She also receives SSI every month, food stamps and welfare. She says if she has to work she will give her daughter away and live on the streets. Any advice????? Also she has never been medically re-evaluated since the age of 17 to determine status. My parents are reaching 70 and not working anymore.

Are there some countries that are easier to do this with, than others? Could your Social Security checks be deposited into a foreign bank or would they need to be deposited in a U.S. bank? Is it alright if your home address is a foreign address?
In addition, are any medicare benefits transferable while you are living in another country?

I’m 17 and I plan on getting married when I’m 18. I want to get married to my future spouse who is an active duty solider, but I don’t know if I will lose my Social Security benefits that I receive because of my deceased father. I plan on attending college also. Will I have a lessened option for financial aid in college? Marriage is the only option.

A lot of people privately calculate that men retire early can get more money from their social security benefits through out years, depite the monthly paymont is less, it is true to acturally retire early for men, even this idea is discouraged by someone?

My parents’re senior citizens and receive social security benefit. They’re waiting for the refund money. Are they eligible to receive it? From my understanding even if you don’t earn income you still can receive $300?
