Best Towns To Retire

My company doesn’t allow in-service withdrawal. I am particularly concerned about the “administrative fees” especially this is an insurance company that runs 401(k) plans. Should I continue to contribute to my 401(k) up to or more than my employer’s match?

i’m 27 yrs old. i live in virginia. i just moved from oklahoma 5 months ago from my ex girlfriend that used me & never really wanted a future but someone to take care of her.
in the last 5 months since i came back home i have been working 2 jobs, i have my own apt, i’m gettting my life together but i wonder about the future. i don’t want to be working forever. what kinds of things can i do so i can start saving money away for retirement?? i have heard of the savings bonds & cd’s. is that soemthing that can give me a good return??. what is a roth ira ??? i need some help.

I’ve heard some stories about people investing money into their job’s 401k retirement plans and loosing a huge chunk of their savings. Is this true? Would investing in a 401k plan be a bad move?

I am on vacation now but when I get back home to MD I want to contact people who live in over 55 communities…..We actually have a friend we visited in one & we put our card on the community bulleten board there…..about a week later a lady called & mentioned we must know someone in the building & it ended up she knows our friend…so that worked out well….the lady we worked for was a widow who had put off doing many things since her husband wasn’t there to do the work…so my husband hung sconces & fixed the toilet, etc…..she was so thrilled to get this work done…..a friend of hers came over & asked for our cards…then that friend called before we left……So what is the best way for us to let everyone know that we do this work….we are sure people want what we do but we don’t want to be intrusive…we also don’t want to be so passive that we don’t get to do all the work we could be doing….thank you so much for your answer.

I came across this question the other day and could not find an answer. What is a retirement letter? I asked a family member who was a human resources manager and she had never heard of one. I am looking for one for a project I am putting together. I need a sample retirement letter and I have no clue what one is. My guess is that it is a letter of resignation when one resigns from a job position at retirement. Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance.
